BURNLEY'S hopes of a play-off
place are all but extinguished with defeat at Carrow Road.
Veteran striker Dion Dublin tapped home from close range with less
than two minutes on the clock, following good wingplay from Jamie
Cureton.
But the win wasn't sealed until injury time, as Darren Huckerby
broke before feeding Ched Evans, who beat his man before firing
through Brian Jensen.
Burnley were not at the races throughout, and got what they deserved
after a poor display.
Kyle Lafferty had the Clarets' best chance of the game in the second
period, as David Marshall produced a fine stop to deny him after
the Northern Ireland striker had beat the offside trap.
But not many inside Carrow Road could begrudge the home side the
win and the points, as Burnley's hopes of a top six slot dwindle
further.
