RETURNING hero Robbie Blake salvaged a draw for Burnley in their opening pre-season outing.

However, on his second debut for the club, it later transpired that deflected leveller three minutes from time had come off teammate Andy Gray.

Blake, after resigning from Leeds for £250,000 on Friday, stole the show as he effortlessly slotted back into a Claret and Blue shirt.

He looked as if he had never been away as he displayed a full range of nclassy touches, but when he went off at half-time, to be replace by Gray, it was Stanley who were in front.

Peter Cavanagh's crossfield ball after only four minutes found triallist Jason Walker, and after his initial shot was saved by Burnley debutant Gabor Kiraly, Walker scored from the rebound.

Besart Berisha was introduced at half-time and showed some tidy touches, but it was the reintroduction of Blake with 13 minutes to go that changed things.

With Kyle Lafferty, Ade Akinbiyi, Gray and Blake all on the field, the Clarets pushed Stanley back, and Blake forced the ball home courtesy of Gray's back.
