THREE seond half goals see Burnley progress into round three of the Carling Cup.

Andy Gray gave the Clarets the lead on the hour, manufacturing the chance himself on the edge of the box before delightfully lobbing Mark Crossley.

That lead was doubled when Robbie Blake made it 2-0 when he latched on to a great throuhgball from substitute Alan Mahon to calmly slot under Crossley.

And with virtually the last kick of the game, another substitute, Ade Akinbiyi used the outside of his right foot to wrap up the win.

Oldham pushed hard for a way back into the game, but could not find a wayast the inpenatrable Brian Jensen.
