Born Pristina, Kosovo; a Kosovar Albanian footballer; plays for Albanian national team; known for his fast dribbling speed and good shooting; began his youth career at German club Tennis Borussia Berlin in 2003; in July 2007 Burnley bought him from Hamburg SV for £340,000 after his , impressive performance for Albania against England B at Turf Moor; snapped his cruciate ligament while playing for his country against Malta after doctors initially diagnosed "a minor knock"; received Albanian citizenship in September 2006.
